Diane Sykes Multnomah County Judge Position 2
Diane Sykes has served as a public defender, Legal Aid attorney, Senior Assistant Attorney General, and private-practice civil rights attorney. She has worked closely with attorneys, judges, court staff, community organizations, government agencies, and opposing counsel to resolve complex legal issues.
Her career has taken her across the legal system landscape, representing clients, protecting civil rights, and advocating for working families. Those experiences have reinforced her belief that justice requires both impartiality and humanity, guided by the rule of law and a commitment to equal justice. Diane strives to ensure every person feels heard and every case receives careful, thoughtful consideration.

Joe Hagedorn Multnomah County Judge Position 14
Joe Hagedorn currently serves as a full-time Judge Pro Tem in the Juvenile Court and performs many duties of the elected judicial position he is seeking.
Hagedorn has dedicated his career to public service over the past 24 years. He served as an AmeriCorps attorney representing survivors of domestic violence, and as a public defender for clients in Criminal, Mental Health, Drug Treatment, and Juvenile Courts.
He is running to improve the justice system for youth and families by reducing the number of youth in our delinquency system and providing more targeted services so children can remain in a parent’s care. He has significant experience in the justice system and in understanding the challenges children and families face in navigating it. He wants to ensure that they have the support they need and access to the services and opportunities to get out of the system.

Key dates for Oregon’s 2026 November elections
Ballots are mailed to voters on October 14. Ballots must be returned to an Official County Dropbox by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, or postmarked by Election Day.
Important mail by notice: The U.S. Post Office has changed its “postmark policy,” so make sure you give them extra time to process your ballot in time for Election Day. The Oregon Secretary of State's Office encourages voters returning their ballots by mail to do so 7 days before Election Day, which is Tuesday, Oct. 27.
